A Message from the Principal – January 2021
Families,
Welcome back to learning. I hope you had a relaxing break with your children and everyone stayed healthy. Currently, Jan. 4-Jan. 15 is Hybrid learning. Monday/Thursday are students with last name starting A-K and Tuesday/Friday are students with last name L-Z. Our third, fourth, and fifth graders will bring home laptops to work on assignments at home. K-2 will bring home paper assignments. Please remember that during Hybrid learning, we will not dismiss early on Monday.
On Wednesday afternoons, teachers are available to work with students for tutoring. Contact your child’s teacher to set up a time if you would like to take advantage of this. Sessions are 1 hour or less.
Parents wanting their child to change to a different learning model must do so by Jan. 6. See information in this newsletter on how to do that.
Due to Hybrid learning, the semester end date is now January 19. January 20 is a teacher workday with no students. January 21st is the beginning of the new semester.
We welcome new teachers to our staff. Liz Miller is the teacher for the additional 5th grade classroom. Abby Josta is teaching title reading.
We are looking forward to another semester of learning. I wish you all good health. Please let us know if we can help you in any way.
Sincerely,
Tami Voegeli
